JSA+Partners, a tight-knit, fast-paced strategic communications agency, is looking for a PR Associate to join our team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an early-to-mid-level professional to support day-to-day client deliverables, assist in executing high-impact PR strategies, and work within some of the fastest-growing industries globally, including consumer tech, digital media, and gaming.

The PR Associate will focus on tactical execution and foundational PR skills, serving as a trusted, reliable contact for our clients. You will also act as a brand ambassador for JSA, contributing to the firm's overall visibility and organic growth through networking and industry engagement. It’s a great opportunity to join a small team, learn from experienced professionals, and make a big impact.

Location: Los Angeles (coming into our HQ office 3-4 days a week).

Principal Responsibilities

• Client Support: Support day-to-day operations and deliverables for key accounts, ensuring excellent client service and relationship maintenance.
• Strategic Execution: Assist in the execution of strategic plans by drafting narratives, positioning, and messaging on behalf of clients under the guidance of senior leadership.
• Media Relations: Assist in developing media relationships and support securing impactful coverage in outlets spanning tech, business, and entertainment.
• Thought Leadership: Support thought leadership programs by researching speaking opportunities, organizing award submissions, and helping draft bylines for client executives.
• Writing: Draft narratives, press releases, pitches, and messaging on behalf of clients.
• Agency Ambassadorship: Act as a brand ambassador for JSA+Partners by networking and contributing to the firm’s visibility.
• New Business Support: Contribute to the agency's growth by researching potential opportunities and supporting pitch preparation.
• AI Innovation: Thoughtfully leverage AI to create efficient workflows for yourself and the team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Experience: 3 years of public relations experience, ideally at least partly in an agency setting.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
• Industry Knowledge: A genuine interest and/or solid understanding of the consumer technology, digital media, gaming and sports landscapes.
• Communication: Exceptional writing, editing, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Media Savvy: Proven track record of actively building media relationships and securing earned media results.
